Hemingways

For a place that's very mediocre, i come here quite frequently. probably because the atmosphere is great and they have a huge patio rooftop at the top so you always have great seats. the menu is diverse-ish but honestly, all the food here is underwhelming from my experience.

I love the patio space here. The bacon wrapped steak bites was delicious. Very attentive servers. Washroom is clean Also enjoy a nice walk in the Yorkville area!

Had fun watching the Champions league finals at the rooftop with other Real Madrid fans. The roof shade is foldable so you can soak in the sun. The menu is also fair for the quality and location. My poutine was well prepared. The carrot cake and cheesecake was equally a delight. A good range of Beer. Free WiFi but no parking. Will recommend for large groups or small date.

Good spot to get drinks and food. But with some exceptions. Staff were friendly and attentive. Sampled a few beers before settling on a Hazy IPA. Fish and Chips and the fish tacos were good. The burger was basic - and I suggest they take it off their menu. The sirloin bites were absolutely horrendous - They were overcooked and drier than the Saharan desert. No good and don't waste your money on it. Other than that, I quite enjoyed my visit and I wouldn't mind going back.

I've had a lot of good memories over the years at Hemingway's, with university friends, with family, on dates and so on and so forth. One thing missing off the list was a Christmas dinner, and this year I checked that off too when Covid restrictions meant we couldn't spend it with family. The turkey and all the sides were great, but the pumpkin pie was truly exceptional. Truthfully, I've never thought the food quality is 5-star at Hemingway's but it's always such a pleasant experience here that I'm willing to give it the whole score.

My go-to place for good vibes and great foods. Their fries are so far the best I've tried among the nearby places. With appetizers it may go little heavy on the pockets but for two people our bill has mostly remained moderate compared to the taste, portion, ambience and service.

The rooftop is heated and bright which is amazing. We went for brunch and ordered the steak, fajita and lamb shanks and everyone enjoyed their meal. Will visit again. Staff is friendly and down to earth, you can get a table without a reservation on most days.

My first visit here. I was good! My friend took me there on Wednesday night, they were busy but not packed. The server was nice but she went missing, we were trying to find her to ask questions and getting bills, it's quite difficult to get her attention. The food was great. I love that seafood pasta and clam chowder! Recommend.

We went here for girls outing. It was good ambiance and the vibe was great. Food was great. We did not get the rooftop patio though but it's fine. Recommended for good food and having good time with friends.

We went there around 2 PM to get a brunch and they told us that we can't order brunch, but on the menu, it says " Brunch Available 10 am - 3 pm weekends + public holidays"! We sat upstairs on the terrace, and it was nice, well decorated and well organized. Two of us ordered Pad Thai and it was really good and tasty. The size of the plate is worth the price. Having peanuts and the spicy Thai sauce made it so good.

The other two people ordered a Traditional clubhouse sandwich that comes with fries. I tried a bite and it was the same as any other club sandwich that you can eat anywhere else and nothing special about it. The service was good too, the waitress was nice and friendly with us.

Pamela, is the best waitress I've ever have in recent times. She was very attentive and cared about my concerns. Doug Ford doesn't want to let us have a good time but she made me have the time of my life. Great service with a smile and keen personality, highly recommended Hemingway's!

Music, great food, amazing vibes. Quick service for drinks and food even though the place was very busy. Fish and chips were a must try

Great food but salt was less in all. I am not sure why the waitress was so cold hearted even after giving enough tip.

Really solid pub with good drinks and food. Service is awesome and atmosphere great, not so loud which made for a easy conversation.

Being here totally brought back memories from college days! Would come here with friends for that Yorkville vibe and this was perfect! And after so many years later, it's just as awesome as I remember! Don't usually get food from here even in the "old" days! Their apps are just awesome with some nice drinks! The nachos were so filling alongside the poutine!

Didn't even finish off the nachos! It was that big! The rooftop patios (yes, plural) is awesome! Misting fans to keep you cool and super down to earth feel in this place! Service was awesome! The waitress was super helpful and totally checked in on us to ensure we were good! Great job overall after all these years! Will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area! What a great spot! We found this place on a walk today & decided to stop for dinner. Delicious food, decent prices & very nice staff. We ordered the Calamari, Cajun Fries & Seafood Linguini.

One of the cheaper places to grab food and drinks within Yorkville! The patio is nice but does get a bit cold during evening hours! The food is not too bad but huge portions! Again you come here for the vibe and it's in Yorkville at least!

I really liked here. The waitress was superb. She greeted with so much energy at midnight. The food was also good (not the best but acceptable for a bar). I like the atmosphere as well. Will be back definitely.
